Rancho Students Headed to CES

Rancho Students Headed to CES Congratulations to Aiden Adams, Nick Meconi, Ian Ellsworth and Teddy Nguyen who competed yesterday at the CTA Future Innovators Business Pitch Competition. Aiden and Nick pitched an idea for a integrated gaming chair, while Ian and Eddy pitched their idea for a 3D-printed reed. Aiden and Nick were named finalists and will be attending CES2019 in January to compete in the final round. Nice job Rams!

Aerospace Engineering Students Visit Think Tank On Monday, Rancho's Aerospace Engineering II and III classes had a chance to visit AFWERX, an Air Force think tank. Students learned about innovation, creative thinking, and future technologies. They even proposed their own ideas for new helmet technology.

Rancho Speech and Debate Adds Another Trophy to Their Case Congratulations to Rancho Debate. They took First Place at this weekend's Hawk Invitational hosted by Northwest CTA. Rancho Speech will have their own chance to bring home a trophy when they compete this coming weekend. Good luck!
Essay and Video Contest

Essay and Video Contest The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court is sponsoring an essay and video contest for high school students around the topic of 4th Amendment Rights, specifically, "What is an 'Unreasonable Search and Seizure' in the Digital Age?" Cash prizes ($2,000 for 1st place; $1,000 for 2nd place; $500 for 3rd place) will be awarded to the winners. Seniors - Order Your Caps and Gowns This Week Jostens will be on campus during both lunches on Wednesday, November 7th and Thursday, November 8th to take cap and gown and graduation orders. Prices for caps and gowns go up after December, so be sure to place your order this week. Orders can also be placed online at www.jostens.com. Extra graduation packets are available in the 800 Office.
